Reflections of Change

The Full Moon illuminates shadows and gives us clarity where we need it. This week, we’re focusing on celebrating and reflecting on the changes you’ve embraced. Celebrating our successes and releasing things that hold us back are both part of our forward-moving journey, helping us keep growing and transforming!

Understanding the South Node

In astrology, the South Node represents our comfort zone—the familiar patterns we’ve carried with us from past experiences, both in this life and beyond. While these patterns might feel safe, they can also be limiting. The South Node holds the key to understanding what’s been ingrained in us, but it can also keep us stuck if we hold onto it too tightly. To truly grow, we’re encouraged to move toward the North Node, which represents our soul’s potential and the direction of our future growth.

My South Node is in Pisces, and my North Node is in Virgo, meaning that I have a tendency to get stuck in the shadows of Pisces, like self-sacrifice and boundary issues. I’ve spent years learning to set healthy boundaries and love myself first, and it’s still something that I can struggle with. I’ve made awesome progress but I still have to catch myself sometimes, and that’s okay!

Take some time this week to look at your South Node placement in your birth chart. What themes, habits, or behaviors might you still be clinging to that feel comforting but no longer serve your higher purpose? Reflect on how you can begin to shift toward your North Node, embracing new patterns that will help you step into the version of yourself you’re meant to become.

Tarot Guidance

To guide us through this reflection process, I’ve pulled two powerful Tarot cards that embody this week’s themes: Death and The World.

  • Death is not about literal endings, but symbolic transformation. It invites us to release what is no longer serving us, shedding the old so the new can emerge. Something I’ve visualized a lot lately is the idea of those little robot vacuums, as silly as it sounds. When they hit a wall, they immediately move away and look for another path, rather than trying to break through the wall. I’m someone who would rather tear a whole through the wall than “give up” and walk away, I’ve been inspired by these little vacuums to accept endings and move on. Reflect on your own life, and ask yourself: Where have you hit a wall? What are you ready to let go of now? What has run its course?

  • The World is about giving yourself permission to pause and honor your achievements. Even if you're still on the journey, this card encourages you to acknowledge how much you’ve accomplished. It’s a reminder that you are whole, even when you're still growing, and that everything you’ve experienced has contributed to the person you are today. Just as the World represents the completion of a journey, it also symbolizes the release of old patterns, habits, or energies that are no longer aligned with your growth.

By embodying both gratitude and release, you honor your progress while making space for new opportunities and growth.

Questions to ask yourself this week:
How can I reflect on my life’s path and view change as a step toward personal evolution? What deeper truths about change am I being called to acknowledge within myself?

I hope you enjoy the meditation above! May this full moon bring you the clarity to celebrate your achievements and the courage to release what no longer serves you, paving the way for the growth that lies ahead.

Next week we’re closing out our conversation on change with a ritual to release the things that hold us back when change shows up in our lives. Enjoy this time of celebration and reflection, and I’ll see you next week!
