Casting Away Stones
As we enter the final phase of the lunar cycle next week, the Last Quarter Moon invites us to pause, reflect, and reassess. This is a time to release what no longer serves us and embrace the lessons we’ve learned. This is our week to wrap things up, reflect on our progress, and acknowledge the burdens we've carried. This is a powerful moment to let go of what isn’t serving our growth—whether that’s self-doubt, fears, or limiting beliefs about how things should be.
This phase reminds us that growth isn’t about perfection, but about learning to navigate challenges with flexibility and openness. It’s about embracing our imperfections and accepting that each ending is an opportunity for transformation. Remember that after the Last Quarter Moon, there’s always a New Moon. Endings beget beginnings, with the moon and in our lives.
Uranus and Embracing Change
Astrologically, Uranus plays a key role during times of transition. Known as the planet of disruption and innovation, Uranus challenges us to break free from routines and habits that hold us back. It represents rebellion and the unexpected, but also the potential for liberation and growth. While we’ve looked at placements like the South Node and Saturn this month, that show us where change might be difficult, Uranus can actually be a great ally when we’re working to embrace evolution.
Take a look at Uranus in your birth chart—what house and sign is it in? For example, if you have Uranus in Aquarius in the 3rd house, like I do, you may be someone who thrives on new ideas and ways of thinking. Uranus in Aquarius brings a visionary quality, while the 3rd house influences communication and learning. This placement can make you highly adaptable when navigating the ever-changing landscape of information and ideas, and encourages you to reframe tough situations or externalize your thoughts by talking them through with a friend.
Understanding where Uranus falls in your chart can give you insight into how you handle transitions and guide you through periods of change with more confidence. Harness the energy of your Uranus placement to navigate endings and changes in a way that works best for you.
Tarot Reflection
During this phase, the Tarot offers gentle guidance on how to integrate the lessons you’ve learned. Temperance encourages balance and moderation, reminding us that change doesn’t have to be sudden or overwhelming. The Star brings hope and a renewed sense of purpose, offering reassurance that even amidst challenges, there is always light.
Consider pulling a card or two for yourself this week. Ask how you can best integrate the wisdom gained over the past month and how to carry those lessons forward into future transitions. What are you holding onto that needs to be released? Where can you find balance and hope?
Questions to ask yourself this week:
What attachments or fears are preventing me from accepting change as a positive force? How can I view change as a natural process of growth and creation?
Carrying Lessons Forward
As we wrap up this lunar cycle next week, remember that endings are just the beginning of something new. The lessons we’ve learned this month will carry us through future transitions with more wisdom, strength, and confidence. Be gentle with yourself as you let go, and trust that the seeds you’ve planted will flourish in the cycles to come.
While I like giving us all time to work with the energy of each phase, since the lunar cycle is less than a month, my posts are a little early right now (for example, this post is coming out a whole week before the Last Quarter Moon!). Due to this, next week’s post will actually be a special one-off that I’ve been looking for an opportunity to share, and the moon has given it to me. We’ll get back to our next lunar cycle on the 31st, but I really hope you enjoy my little “filler” post next week.
Have a great end of this lunar cycle, and feel free to share any changes that you’re navigating in the comments!
