Embracing Change to Nurture Real Bonds
As we approach the Last Quarter Moon, we’re reminded of the beauty and necessity of endings. This phase invites us to release what no longer serves us, clearing the path for relationships and communities that truly nurture and uplift us.
Think about redefining connections that feel strained or mismatched, or even releasing them altogether. This doesn’t have to be dramatic; instead, think of it as an act of love, for yourself and the other person (or people). You can honor the bond you have and be grateful for it without keeping yourself tied to a dynamic or relationship that isn’t good for you (or them) anymore.
Tarot Guidance
The Death card often feels intimidating, but it’s one of the most powerful allies in personal growth, and one I’ve gotten in a lot of my readings this year. It represents transformation, the shedding of old skins, and the inevitable cycle of renewal. When we release dynamics that no longer align, we invite rebirth and growth. Endings beget beginnings.
Think about where you might need to let go. Is there a relationship that feels more draining than fulfilling? A community that feels off or out of sync? Remember that the relationship itself might not be what needs to end, it could be a dynamic within the relationship. If there’s misalignment, you might be able to find a way to get things back on track, through boundary-setting, honest communication and genuine changes. Trust that the endings you embrace now will open doors to better, deeper connections.
Astrological Influence
Saturn, the planet of boundaries and discipline, encourages us to establish healthy limits in our relationships. Its influence asks us to reflect on what we’ve learned about connection, commitment, and reciprocity. The 8th house, on the other hand, speaks to transformation and shared resources. It encourages us to dig deep, identifying where we might need to release control or break free from toxic dependencies.
By exploring Saturn’s placement in your chart or reflecting on your 8th house themes, you can better understand where boundaries are needed and how you can transform your connections to be more aligned with your values.
In my own chart, Saturn in Aries has taught me lessons about setting boundaries and balancing independence with collaboration. This placement warns that I might take on too much responsibility or feel the need to prove my worth in relationships. Meanwhile, my 8th house in Gemini can sometimes lead to over-analyzing or avoiding emotional complexity. By reflecting on these placements, I’ve learned that I need to release relationships that make me feel like I have to be responsible for their growth, or where there’s no emotional depth. I hope exploring your own chart helps you do the same!
Questions to ask yourself this week:
Are there any toxic dependencies or dynamics within my network that I need to address? What relationships or patterns no longer serve my vision for intentional gatherings?
As we close this cycle, remember that releasing means choosing yourself, your values, and your vision for an aligned life. You’re not losing anything, simply freeing up space for connections that make you feel loved and nourished. Next week, we’ll start setting intentions for the new lunar cycle, but until then, trust the process and honor the beauty in every connection, even the ones that change.
