The Art of Letting Go
As the Last Quarter moon arrives, we’re invited to pause, reflect, and let go. This phase is a time to release what no longer serves us, creating space for new growth. For spiritual entrepreneurs, one of the most challenging—and transformative—mindsets to release is the scarcity mindset. This week, let’s explore how to release attachment to financial fears and embrace imperfect harmony on our journey to abundance.
Tarot Guidance
The Tarot offers a couple archetypes that can help us work through scarcity mindset. When Temperance appears reversed, it reminds us that balance isn’t a state of perfection—it’s a process. This card gently asks you to let go of unrealistic expectations and accept that harmony can still exist amidst chaos.
Release the idea that you must have everything "figured out" to move forward. Progress is not linear, and finding balance often means making peace with your imperfections. What would it feel like to loosen your grip and trust the process?
The Hanged Man encourages surrender and the power of seeing things from a new angle. It teaches that letting go isn’t a loss but a profound act of trust and transformation.
To release scarcity, you must reframe how you see abundance. True wealth isn’t found in control or clinging to what’s familiar but in your willingness to trust life’s flow. Take a pause. Look at your fears and challenges from a different perspective. What new opportunities or insights arise when you choose to let go?
Together, these cards remind you that letting go of scarcity isn’t about immediate perfection or certainty. It’s about trusting the process, forgiving yourself for missteps, and embracing the changes you’re making at whatever pace you move.
Astrological Influences
I feel like I talk about the South Node every month on the last quarter moon, but it really is the perfect placement to look at when we want to let things go. It highlights karmic patterns and comfort zones. revealing old habits or fears tied to scarcity, such as clinging to familiar but limiting financial situations. Release these attachments and step into a new mindset of trust and expansion.
The Eighth House, often associated with shared resources and psychological transformation, offers another layer of insight. This house reveals hidden fears around money—like control issues, dependency, or survival-based thinking. Healing here involves transmuting these fears into empowerment through shadow work and inner trust.
Reflect on planets in your Eighth House and the sign where your South Node resides:
Are they pointing to fears of loss or control?
How can you shift these narratives to embrace trust, both in yourself and in the universe?
Releasing Shame
Forgiveness is a key part of releasing scarcity. Forgive yourself for past financial mistakes and see them as lessons rather than failures. Whether it’s a financial misstep, a missed opportunity, or simply not meeting your own expectations, holding onto guilt or regret can keep you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.
Often, our harshest judgments come from holding ourselves to impossible standards. You may find it difficult to forgive because you believe you "should have known better" or "should have done more." Temperance reversed reminds us to embrace imperfect harmony. Balance is not a fixed state but a continuous adjustment—making the choice to reframe each thought of scarcity from a perspective of abundance, over and over until it becomes natural. That doesn’t happen in a day, so we’re going to slip up, and that’s okay!
Scarcity often roots itself in fear of not being good enough or capable enough. By letting go of this fear, even temporarily, you create a pathway for abundance to take root.
Embracing Abundance
Abundance isn’t just a number in a bank account; it’s a mindset rooted in trust, gratitude, and inner security. It’s something that takes time, and practice. You can practice embracing abundance through affirmations, mantras, and reframing scarcity mindset thoughts when you notice them. I personally love this meditation by Kelly Botham, and I encourage you to listen and focus on the affirmations she repeats.
By releasing scarcity-based fears, you create room for true abundance—one that sustains more than just your wallet. Remember, your journey doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Imperfect harmony is still harmony.
Questions to ask yourself this week:
How can I forgive myself for past financial mistakes and honor the lessons they’ve taught me? What patterns of self-doubt or fear are keeping me tied to a scarcity mindset?
And thus ends our little journey through abundance, learning to let go of fear and scarcity in favor of trust and confidence. We know the Universe has our back, and by leaning into the feeling of abundance, we invite even more of it into our lives.
Next week we begin a new theme on the New Moon, talking about the importance and sacredness of community, something that feels really timely. We can rely on community when the future feels scary, and we naturally find ourselves in community during the holiday season. Being intentional and building or nurturing healthy communities give us strength and enable us to make magic.
In the meantime, have a wonderful last quarter moon, and let me know what scarcity thoughts you’re releasing this week in the comments. I personally am releasing my fear of not having enough, because I’ve noticed that popping up again lately. Sending you compassion and healing as you reflect and release 💜
