Fighting Fears with Intuitive Content Creation
We made it to the final week in our first lunar cycle together! I hope you enjoyed the Full Moon meditation I shared last week, I actually listened to it this morning before writing today’s post. The Last Quarter Moon helps us close things out by releasing what we don’t need and reassessing what works for us, so today we’re going to talk about fears surrounding content creation and how we can use a water ritual and the tarot to address them.
There are a lot of ways that we can hold ourself back as intuitive content creators. We might struggle with imposter syndrome or perfectionism, or be afraid of rejection from those we want to share our content with. Maybe we worry that we won’t be able to stay consistent, or that we’ll run out of ideas and be unable to create original content.
Many of these fears can be addressed through building confidence and trust in ourselves, but of course that’s a lot easier said than done. It takes time to learn to trust our intuition, and build that confidence in our own abilities and connection. Meditations like last week’s can help us, as we took time to celebrate our accomplishments and abilities as creators.
For this Last Quarter Moon, we’ll be performing a bath ritual. Water is closely tied to the Moon, and we want all the Moon magic we can get for this. You can do a releasing ritual like this any time, but syncing up with the phases of the moon does feel extra special, especially when it’s a water ritual!
Releasing Bath Ritual
You’ll need:
Epsom salts or sea salt (for cleansing)
Essential oils (such as lavender for relaxation, frankincense for spiritual connection, or rosemary for purification)
A candle (optional, for ambiance)
A few crystals (e.g., amethyst for calming, citrine for creativity, or black tourmaline for grounding)
A journal and a tarot deck or digital alternative (for after the bath)
Soothing music or a meditation track (optional)
Prepare Your Space:
Cleanse your bathroom to create a serene environment. You may want to dim the lights, light a candle or incense, or put on some calming music to set a peaceful mood.
Run a warm bath and collect your salt, oils, and crystals.
Set Your Intention:
Add Epsom salts or sea salt to the water to help cleanse and purify your energy.
Add a few drops of your chosen essential oils to the bath, focusing on those that promote relaxation, grounding, and spiritual connection. Be sure to only add a little, as essential oils are very concentrated.
Set the intention to release all fears and blocks around creation, and step into the bath purposefully.
Visualizing Release:
Visualize the water absorbing all the fears, doubts, and blocks that have been holding you back from expressing your creativity.
Imagine these fears dissolving in the water, freeing you from their weight. You might also imagine the water gently pulling these fears away from you, cleansing you of any negativity.
Affirmations:
Hold your crystals in your hands (only if they’re water-safe!) or place them near the tub. Visualize them infusing you with confidence, creativity, and clarity.
Repeat the following affirmations. “I release all fear. I am a confident and inspired creator.” If other affirmations come up that you want to say, let them come out. Let your subconscious tell you what you need to release to be able to create effortlessly and intuitively.
Reflections + Closing:
When you’re ready, slowly rise from the bath. As the water drains away, imagine it taking all your fears with it.
After your bath, sit quietly and journal any thoughts, insights, or feelings that arose during the bath.
Before closing the ritual, take out your tarot deck and ask the Moon (or whoever you feel called to ask for support) to show you how to leave behind fear and create confidently. Pull as many or as few cards as feels right, and write them down in your journal.
When you’re finished, thank the Moon and anyone else you called on during this ritual for their wisdom and guidance, and feel gratitude in your heart for the growth they are pushing you towards.
Questions to ask yourself this week:
What fears or limitations are holding back your creativity? What old ideas or projects need to be released to make way for new ones?
Next week we’ll be starting a new topic, so stay tuned! I hope this first month has given you an opportunity to connect with yourself and learn to create from a place of wisdom and purpose.
If you have any feedback or questions for me regarding this cycle’s topic, please send me a message, I’d love to hear it! Sending you love, comfort, and courage for this Last Quarter Moon.
